ABOUT ME
My name is Laura Steere and I qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist from University College London in 2007. I spent 11 years working for the NHS before moving into independent practice. I am a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist and specialise in working with children with a range of speech, language and communication needs. My area of particular interest is working with children with additional needs. I currently work with a charity called 21Together and provide supervision to their communication groups for children with Down Syndrome.
I am passionate about promoting communication development in children and young people. I believe in a Total Communication approach and will support the child to develop their skills to meet their individual potential. I feel that working jointly with parents/carers and other professionals will achieve the best outcomes for the child. By working together, we take a holistic approach. The aim of Key Communication is to give you the keys to unlock your child’s communication.
I work Mondays to Fridays (3 days within school hours, 2 longer days) term time only.
